UK-based film supplier Nobelus Europe has launched FineGlitter, a new glitter effect film that it says gives prints and packaging a “subtle tactile appeal” that “brings a new dimension to designs”.

Available as a thermal laminate or wet film, FineGlitter can be applied to jobs such as folding cartons, luxury labels and stand-up pouches. It is made from easy tear CPP (cast polypropylene), which Nobelus says means the laminate version is compatible with equipment that uses bursting separation. The wet film version accepts reverse printing.

The sparkles are built into the film, ensuring they cannot be rubbed off with scuffing or repeated handling. The glitter effect achieved reflects light for “a sense of energy and movement”, according to Nobelus.

Jeremy Fentiman, managing director of Nobelus Europe, said: “We are excited to add FineGlitter to the Nobelus Europe portfolio because it combines tactility with an eye-catching finish that makes prints stand out, making it one of a kind. Our customers can use it to boost margins and win new brand deals regardless of the markets they serve.”
